These recipes are starting points you can paste into the rule builder and tweak for your operation. Each recipe names the goal, lists the exact field settings, and notes any trade-offs. For the full explanation of every field, see Build a notification rule.

Recipe: Home base radius

Get alerted to anything posted near your yard or garage, headed anywhere, for your equipment type.

Open the rule builder

Navigate to /rules and click Create rule.

Name the rule

Set Rule name to Home base radius.

Set the origin

Set From to your home city with a 100 mi radius.

Set the destination

Set To to Anywhere.

Choose your equipment

Set Equipment to your truck type only.

Leave rate open

Set Min rate per mile to Any. Toggle Include loads with no rate to ON.

Set Pickup to Any time.

Turn on notifications

Toggle Email to ON. Toggle SMS to ON if you are on Pro or Enterprise.

Why it works: You hear about local posted loads the minute they hit the board, no matter where they are going.

Recipe: High-RPM long haul

Only alert on loads that post with a strong rate per mile.

Leave Max loaded miles blank or set it high.

Set Pickup to Any time.

Trade-off: Turning off Include loads with no rate drops a large share of the board. Many brokers post without a rate. Only use this recipe if you are willing to miss those loads.

Recipe: Get me home this weekend

Catch loads in your current area that deliver back toward home, with pickup in the next week.

Why it works: It filters for loads that pick up soon and deliver where you want to be, so you can plan your weekend routing.

Recipe: Cargo van board only

Only see cargo van loads on the Expedite board, no sprinters or box trucks.

Set From to Anywhere and To to Anywhere.

Set Equipment to Cargo Van (v) only. Do not select any other types.

Why it works: By locking Equipment to a single type, you avoid mixed-alerts from sprinters and box trucks on the same board.

Recipe: Verified brokers only

Filter out unverified brokers to reduce fraud exposure.

Trade-off: This drops legitimate new brokers who have not been checked yet. If you need volume, consider a second rule with a lower score threshold.

Recipe: Hot lane, hot rate

Get a text the second a specific lane you already run appears above your target rate.

Set Rule name to your lane, for example ATL to Miami $2.75+.

Set From to your origin city with a 50 mi radius.

Set Min rate per mile to your hot-lane floor. Toggle Include loads with no rate to OFF.

Set Pickup to Today or tomorrow.

Turn on SMS

Toggle SMS to ON for the fastest channel. Toggle Email as you prefer.

Check quiet hours

Ensure Quiet hours are set so late-night SMS does not wake you.

Why it works: A tight radius on both ends plus a rate floor means you only get pinged when the lane is worth running right now. After you build any recipe, you can always edit it from /rules. For the full field reference, read Build a notification rule. To protect your sleep, set up Quiet hours.
