Read a broker profile page

Every broker on Load Work has a profile page at /brokers/broker_<id>. The profile is your research dashboard for that broker. Read it top to bottom before you call.

Element	What it is	What to do with it
Back	Navigation link	Returns you to the broker directory.
Broker ID	The internal Load Work identifier	Include this in support emails if you need help with a specific broker.
Email broker	Dropdown action	Opens your email client with the broker’s address pre-filled.
Call broker	Phone action	Dials the broker’s phone number.
Broker name	The posting name	Confirm you are researching the right broker.
Company legal name	The registered entity, if available	Use this for factoring or compliance checks.
MC#	The broker’s federal MC identifier	Cross-check on FMCSA for authority and complaint history.
DOT#	The broker’s federal DOT identifier	Cross-check on FMCSA for authority and complaint history.
Authority chip	Reflects the broker’s FMCSA authority status	When Load Work has confirmed active FMCSA authority, the chip reflects that active state and the broker’s loads carry the green Active broker authority badge on the board. When authority has not been confirmed, the chip reads Authority pending. See Authority badges for the full mapping.
Identity line	BROKER · FIRST SEEN date · LAST SEEN age	A brokerage that was first seen days ago but already has thousands of postings is worth a second look. Very high volume from a brand-new broker is a caution signal. Cross-check with the authority badge and FMCSA directly.

Activity stats

Stat	What it shows	What to do with it
Loads posted	All loads ever posted by this broker on Load Work	Very high total from a new broker warrants extra scrutiny.
Active loads	Number of loads currently posted	High count means the broker is active right now.
Past 30 days	Loads posted in the last 30 days	Gauge recent activity level.
Past 90 days	Loads posted in the last 90 days	Gauge sustained activity level.
Avg time to fill	Average hours to fill a load, for example 25.9h across 368 filled loads	Fast fill times mean competitive, legitimate brokers. Slow or missing data is neutral, not negative.
Posting completeness	Percentage of loads with weight, dates, and contact info filled in	This measures tidiness, not legitimacy. A 100% complete broker can still be unverified.

Lane list	The 5 most-posted origin-destination lanes, with counts	If their lanes overlap your regular routes, this broker is worth building a relationship with.

Equipment mix

Element	What it is	What to do with it
Equipment list	The 5 most-posted equipment types, with counts	Use this to see if the broker moves freight your truck can haul.

Contact panel

Field	What it means	What to do with it
Phone	Direct phone number	Call this to negotiate or book loads.
Email	Direct email address	Use this for written confirmations or document exchange.
AP contact	Accounts payable contact name	Ask for this person by name when you call about payment status.
AP email	Accounts payable email	Use this for invoicing and payment follow-up.
AP phone	Accounts payable phone number	Use this if you need to follow up on unpaid invoices.
Address	Physical address, if listed	Use this for compliance or factoring verification.

AP stands for accounts payable. You need this info to get paid after the load. If the AP fields show N/A, ask for accounts payable contact info on your first call.

Load history tabs

Tab	What it shows	What to do with it
Active	Loads currently posted by this broker	Browse current opportunities and compare rates to the broker’s history.
Previous	Aged-off postings that are no longer active	Use this as your receipt trail. Sanity-check whether the rates the broker is quoting today match what they normally post. If today’s rate is far off their history, ask why.
