Adding a truck to Load Work tells the platform what equipment you run. That shapes which loads surface on your board and in your notification rules. You can add trucks at /organization/trucks.

Required fields

These fields must be filled before you can save a truck:
  • Name* — a display name you choose (for example, “Truck 101”)
  • Unit number* — your internal unit or fleet number
  • Equipment type* — choose from the 16 types in Load Work

Optional fields

Fill these in to keep better records and improve matching:
  • Make — manufacturer (for example, Freightliner, Ford)
  • Model — specific model
  • Year — model year
  • VIN — for your internal records only
  • Length (ft) — overall length
  • Max weight (lbs) — how much the truck can haul
  • Doors — door configuration
  • Liftgate — toggle if equipped
  • Current location — city or region where the truck is now
  • Notes — any details your team should know
  • Photos — upload images of the truck; live preview renders as you type

How equipment type affects matching

Equipment type is how loads get matched to you. Loads that fit this truck surface first. Make, model, year, and VIN are just for your records.
The equipment type dropdown pre-fills suggestions based on make and model, but you should always verify it is correct. If the equipment type is wrong, you will see irrelevant loads and miss the ones you can actually haul.
